Scoring Guidance© Structure

This guidance is organized into eight sections, each dedicated to a different aspect of the vision screening process. These include detailed explanations of scoring criteria and tips for interpreting the results.

Vision Concern Codes

The Scoring Guidance© categorizes concerns to aid in determining the urgency of follow-up care:

• Risk Factor (RF). These concerns indicate a risk factor for a higher risk for low vision.
  
• Non-Urgent (NU). These concerns may warrant a non-urgent follow-up with a pediatric eye doctor.
  
• Urgent (U). These concerns may warrant an urgent follow-up with a pediatric eye doctor.
• Very Urgent (VU). These concerns may warrant a very urgent follow-up with a pediatric eye doctor.
