What is Neurologic
Music Therapy?
Neurologic Music Therapy is the use of evidence-based therapeutic music interventions to achieve non-musical goals.
Each small group session, led by Amanda Bryant, will be comprised of infants or toddlers who are accompanied by their parents or caregivers. Parents are taught and encouraged to use songs, rhythmic movement and instrument play in order to maximize their child’s vision and progress toward developmental milestones. Then, these lessons can be practiced at home. Therapy is play-based, non-threatening and emphasizes successful, cooperative learning in a creatively rich environment. And it’s fun! |
“My daughter loves the singing and responds well to all the instruments – drums, bells, guitar, piano and more. Amanda has taught us to play, sing and wait to see how the kids respond. With my daughter having several development handicaps, including vision, music really helps her feel and see a wonderful and lively world,” explained one parent. |
