Vision Screening Training

Equip Yourself to Make a Difference
We are excited to announce the launch of our highly acclaimed Vision Screening Protocol©! This milestone brings with it an opportunity for professionals to participate in trainings to fully equip them to utilize this user-friendly and highly effective protocol. Join us in transforming vision screening practices and making a significant impact in the field!
These trainings will equip non-medical professionals to use the Vision Screening Protocol© to identify children, birth to age three, who warrant evaluation by a pediatric eye doctor.

Vision Screening Protocol© for Children Birth to Age 3 (updated 2025)

This training equips non-medical professionals with the skills to gather and interpret family and medical histories, observe children’s eyes and eyelids, assess visual behaviors, and address caregiver concerns. Participants will learn how to administer the Parent Questionnaire©, conduct Objective Vision Testing, interpret results with the Scoring Guidance©, and effectively communicate results and recommended next steps to caregivers.

Two tailored versions of this training are offered as live webinars:
  1. Vision Screening Protocol Training - Designed for professionals who are either new to this protocol or who did not pass the Parent Questionnaire training in 2022 through 2024.
  2. Vision Screening Protocol Refresher Training - Intended for professionals who successfully completed the Parent Questionnaire training during the same period.

Additionally, self-paced eLearning videos will soon be available to provide flexible learning options.

Participants must complete a final quiz after attending the training, with an 80% passing score required to achieve certification.

What People are Saying...

This was one of the most outstanding, timely, and applicable trainings that I have had and I've been doing this for 16 years! I walked away with something that I can do starting immediately that can directly and permanently impact families of young children as well as address a dire need in the community as showed by the research."
Mara Kuczun, Bilingual Early Childhood Special Educator
A Shared Vision presented a clear, concise training on Vision Screening for Birth to Age 3. I appreciated that they put together great handouts, practice examples, and very clear directions on moving through the process from sending the form to the family to scoring. I feel better prepared to tackle my next evaluation, equipped with a great tool and resources. Thank you! Wish I had this years ago!"
